Heatstroke: how to prevent it
Hydration, timing and warning signs to look after older people and children in summer.
Heatstroke happens when the body cannot bring its temperature down. Older people, children and people taking certain medicines are the most vulnerable.
Drink water often even if you are not thirsty, wear light clothing and a hat, and avoid exercise in the middle of the day.
If there is dizziness, a severe headache, very hot skin or confusion, move the person to the shade, cool them down and call 112.
